Etching is a chemical cutting of metallic material, where the surface is sprayed with ferric chloride. We can etch practically any metallic material. The shape is determined by reproducing an image of the product on photographic film. The pattern may be a detail drawing or a CAD data file, a more cost-effective choice. One of the greatest advantages of etching is that the material remaines free from burrs and stresses. Other advantages are low tool costs and short delivery times.
